Research activities

Ph.D. thesis :  A method for the simulation of compressible three-phase flows is proposed taking into account gravity and capillary effects. Governing equations are written in a fractional flow formulation in terms of a global pressure equation and two saturation equations. The global pressure satisfying a « Total Differential » (TD) condition was introduced by [Chavent and Jaffré, 1986] to simplify the mathematical formulation of three-phase flows [link].

Lead developer of the CubicM code : Multiphase Multicomponent Multiprocess Simulator (fortran), windows/linux vers.

Surface flow model

A surface flow (BSV model, finite volume) is modeled on a topography generated from an analytical function (Mishra's Bird function) by imposing a water level on the northern border of the domain. We try to correctly represent the water velocity field (integrated on the vertical) in the basin (Honey lake simulation).

application : the Bruche valley

A finite volume model is based on the discretization of the "Barré de Saint-Venant" equation. The simulation is conducted over a little less than an hour starting with a water level of 10 cm uniformly distributed over the entire surface
